In general, I like the idea of digital storytelling as a technologically fun way to incorporate learning, however after reading about all of the necessary parts of a good story (be it digital or not) I'm not sure I'm going to be good at weaving knowledge into something that will gain and maintain someone's interest. I've never been a very good story teller, so the idea of adding in relevant educational material in an effort to reach students through a means other than lecture makes me think I would just lose the students.
That being said, I'm certainly not opposed to using good digital stories to enhance learning. I wholeheartedly believe that we need a variety of mediums to reach every student and this just provides one more option. I'm not really sure what options there are for finding digital stories that have already been created, but I'm sure they're out there. And who knows, maybe I'll be better at creating my own than I realize, but right now it seems like a lofty goal.
